KwikFastHurry, Inc. ("KwikFastHurry", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you use the KwikFastHurry Customer app, Vendor app, Rider app, our websites and related services (the "Platform").
Role-specific detail is set out in the Customer, Vendor and Rider privacy notices. Where those notices differ from this one, they add to it rather than replace it.
#1. Information we collect
#1.1 Information you give us
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email address, phone number, delivery addresses, account username |
| Account credentials | Password hash, multi-factor settings, security questions |
| Commercial information | Orders placed, items purchased, baskets, favourites, ratings and reviews |
| Payment information | Last four digits and expiry of a card, billing address, payout bank details for Vendors and Riders. Full card numbers are held by our payment processors, not by us |
| Government identifiers | Driving licence, vehicle registration and insurance, right-to-work documents and tax identifiers for Riders and Vendors |
| Communications | Support tickets, chat messages between Customers and Riders, call metadata, survey responses |
| User content | Photos of a delivery drop-off, store images, profile photos |
#1.2 Information we collect automatically
- Device and app data — device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, mobile network, crash logs and diagnostic data.
- Identifiers — IP address, advertising identifier, and a KwikFastHurry device identifier.
- Usage data — screens viewed, features used, search terms, session length, referring links.
- Location data — described in Section 2 below.
- Cookies and similar technologies — described in our Cookie & Tracking Policy.
#1.3 Information from third parties
- Vendors — order confirmations, preparation status and fulfilment issues.
- Payment processors — authorisation results, chargeback notices and fraud signals.
- Background check providers — screening results for Riders, handled under our Background Check Disclosure.
- Mapping and routing providers — estimated travel times and route data.
- Social or single sign-on providers — if you choose to sign in with them, the basic profile data you approve.
- Marketing and analytics partners — aggregated campaign performance.
#1.4 Information we do not want
Please do not send us sensitive information we have not asked for — such as health conditions, biometric data, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or precise financial account numbers — through support channels or delivery notes. If you do, we will delete it once we have dealt with your request.
#2. Location data
Location is central to a delivery service, and we are deliberate about it.
| Role | What we collect | When |
|---|---|---|
| Customer | Approximate or precise location to find nearby stores and set a delivery address | While you use the app, if you grant permission |
| Rider | Precise location for dispatch, navigation, live order tracking, distance-based pay and safety | Only while you are online and on shift in the Rider app, including in the background during that shift |
| Vendor | Store address you provide | At onboarding |
You can turn location permissions off at any time in your device settings. Turning them off will limit or disable core features — Riders cannot receive dispatches without location, and Customers will need to enter addresses manually.
Riders: the Rider app shows a persistent notification whenever background location collection is active. We stop collecting your location when you go offline.
#3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the service — create your account, take and route orders, dispatch Riders, calculate fees and distances, show live tracking, and process payments and payouts.
- Communicate — send order status, receipts, service announcements, and respond to support requests.
- Keep the Platform safe — detect and prevent fraud, account takeover, payment abuse, fake reviews, and violations of our Acceptable Use Policy; investigate safety incidents.
- Improve and develop — analyse usage to fix bugs, improve routing and estimates, and build new features.
- Personalise — recommend stores and items, remember preferences.
- Market — send offers you can opt out of at any time, and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Comply with law — tax reporting, licensing obligations, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing our agreements.
#3.1 Legal bases
Where a law such as the GDPR applies to you, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service); legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, product improvement); consent (marketing, precise location, non-essential cookies); and legal obligation (tax and regulatory records).
#3.2 Automated decision-making
We use automated systems to dispatch orders to Riders, to estimate delivery times, to price dynamically, and to flag suspected fraud. A fraud flag can result in an order being declined or an account being suspended. A human reviews any decision that permanently deactivates an account. You may contest such a decision by writing to privacy@kwikfasthurry.com.
#4. How we share information
We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information for money.
#4.1 Between users, to complete an order
- Vendors receive your first name, order details and, where required, a masked phone number.
- Riders receive your first name, delivery address, delivery notes and a masked phone number for the duration of the delivery. Access to the address is removed after the delivery completes.
- Customers see the Rider's first name, photo, vehicle type and live location while the delivery is in progress.
Contact between Customers and Riders is placed through a masking service so neither party sees the other's real number.
#4.2 Service providers
We share with vendors who process data on our behalf under contract: cloud hosting, payment processing, identity verification, background checks, mapping and routing, communications and push notifications, analytics, customer support tooling, and fraud prevention. They may use the data only to provide services to us.
#4.3 Legal and safety
We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena or court order; to enforce our agreements; to detect or prevent fraud or security issues; or to protect the rights, property or safety of any person. Where we are legally permitted, we will notify you of a request for your data.
#4.4 Corporate transactions
If KwikFastHurry, Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections in this Policy.
#4.5 Advertising partners
We may share limited identifiers (such as a hashed email or advertising identifier) with advertising platforms to show you relevant ads and measure them. Under California law, this may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can stop it — see Your Privacy Choices.
#5. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as we need it:
| Data | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Account profile | Until deletion, then removed within 30 days |
| Order and delivery records | 7 years, for tax, accounting and dispute purposes |
| Payment and payout records | 7 years, as required by financial regulations |
| Rider background check results | As long as you are active, plus 2 years |
| Rider location traces | 12 months, then aggregated or deleted |
| Support conversations | 3 years |
| Marketing preferences and suppression lists | Indefinitely, so we honour your opt-out |
| Security and fraud logs | 24 months |
Where we must keep records after you delete your account, we restrict access to them and use them only for the purpose that requires retention.
#6. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, least-privilege administration, network segmentation, logging and alerting, secret management, employee background checks and mandatory security training, and regular penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law. Report a suspected vulnerability to security@kwikfasthurry.com.
#7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Port a copy of your data in a portable format;
- Opt out of targeted advertising, sale or sharing;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Detailed instructions, including the California-specific notice, are on Your Privacy Choices. Account deletion is described on Account & Data Deletion.
How to make a request: email privacy@kwikfasthurry.com, use the in-app privacy controls, or call +1 (888) 555-0199. We verify your identity before acting, respond within 45 days, and may extend once by a further 45 days where the request is complex. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Authorised agents may submit a request on your behalf with written permission signed by you; we may still contact you directly to confirm.
#8. Children
The Platform is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@kwikfasthurry.com and we will delete it. See also our Child Safety Standards.
#9. International transfers
We are based in the United States and use service providers in several countries. Where we transfer personal information out of a region with transfer restrictions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, and we assess the destination country's laws. Contact privacy@kwikfasthurry.com for a copy of the safeguards we use.
#10. Third-party links
The Platform links to sites and services we do not control, including Vendor websites and app stores. This Policy does not apply to them. Read their privacy notices before providing information.
#11. Changes to this Policy
We will post any revision on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes we will give at least 15 days' advance notice by email or in-app notice. Previous versions are available on request from privacy@kwikfasthurry.com.
